What you'll do

Job Summary
Controller will assist with all aspects of the accounting function including Bank, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoices, payments, reconciliations, general ledger, provisioning, and all accounting functions. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Essential Functions
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and reviews.
- Responsible for reviewing journal entries.
- Supervise and manage accounting department and employees.
- Review and approve vendor payments.
- Assist with all aspects of the accounting function including Bank, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, invoices, payments, reconciliations, general ledger, provisioning, and all accounting functions.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Ensure all financial data is accurate, timely and complete for management review.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Travel and expense review, analysis, and auditing
- Manage interactions with tax authorities (opening and closing new state accounts sales tax and withholding tax).
- Assistance with quarterly external/internal and annual audits. Respond to requests by Company’s VP Finance (providing information to our independent auditors).
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the Department.
- Train new employees on Microsoft Dynamics
- Execute Ad-Hoc finance projects as needed from time to time.
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- 5-7 Years of proven work experience as Assistant Controller or Controller or 2+ yrs. of leadership experience required
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to consistently perform core responsibilities without direct supervision
- Strong AP experience
- Team leader and individual contributor
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Microsoft Dynamics software experience is a plus
- SalesForce.com software experience is a plus
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and work under pressure
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Must have excellent follow up and follow through qualities, taking ownership & accountability

The annual salary for this position is:
$120,000.00 to $140,000.00This position is eligible for an annual bonus in accordance with the company's bonus plan. Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
