What you'll do

Enter vendor invoices and financial data involving multiple currencies
Investigate accounts payable invoice issues and reconcile payable and receivable balances, including intercompany entries
Prepare overdue customer and vendor reports, then follow up on customer collections
Create customer invoices, credit memos and statements; verify and apply incoming payments
Help with month-end accounting close and maintain relationships with customers and ZF operating units

What you bring

You are currently studying accounting, business administration or a related subject
You bring strong computer, analytical problem-solving and interpersonal abilities, plus clear spoken and written communication
You have very good MS Office skills; SAP familiarity is a plus
English and Spanish ability is preferred, with the posting indicating a preference for fifty to seventy percent bilingual proficiency

Intern/Student Accounting-Practicante

We are hiring an Intern/Student Accounting, who will support our Shared Services Center in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. In this team you will have the opportunity to learn about administrative and accounting tasks in a global team.

What you can look forward as a Intern Accounting:

Accounts Payable Vendor Invoices Data entry with different currencies
Analysis and resolution of Accounts Payable invoice problems
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable balance reconciliations, including Intercompany transactions
Customer’s Collection
Run Reports of Past Due Customers/Vendors
Creation of third-party customer invoices, credit memos and customer statements,
Verification and application of customer payments
Assist in Accounting month end close process
How to maintain excellent relationship with to third party customers and with our ZF operating units

Your profile as an Accounting Intern:

Current Student in Accounting, Business Administration degree or other related.
Experience not required,
Have strong computer, analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills, should have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Very Good computer skills using MS Office, knowledge in SAP system would be a plus
Preferred with 50-70% Bilingual English/Spanish
