From the employer
About the Role:
As Sr. Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development, you will be a key driver of TTG’s next phase of global growth, operating at the intersection of organic growth initiatives and M&A. Reporting to the SVP, Strategy & Corporate Development, you will work directly with executive leadership to define org-wide business goals and KPIs, optimize our diverse portfolio of brands, assess and underwrite new strategic partnerships, and execute M&A transactions that expand our reach and capabilities.
This is a high-impact, high-visibility role designed for a top performer ready to move beyond advisory and recommendations into direct accountability for business outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to help shape our organic and inorganic growth strategy, where we deploy capital, and how we win. Core responsibilities will be primarily focused on TTG-specific investments and growth initiatives; however, there will be exposure to senior executives at MARI and selective involvement in strategy and corporate development across the MARI portfolio.
Please note: This is a full-time position. Qualified candidates must be based in the greater New York City area. We encourage collaboration by working a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, with flexibility to choose where you work for the rest of the week.
What Success Looks Like:
-
Strategic Insight → You provide the executive team with a clear point of view and drive the strategic planning process, continuously assessing our growth opportunities and guiding the allocation of resources to those opportunities.
-
Self-Directed Execution → You take ambiguous, half-formed problems and run them to ground. You scope the work, chase down the data and bring in the right people without waiting to be told or needing a blueprint.
-
Institutional Influence → You become a trusted advisor to the executive team and brand General Managers, known for distilling complex financial puzzles into clear, actionable narratives that align with our growth objectives.
-
Measurable Impact → The deals and investments you underwrite perform against their underwriting case, and when they don’t, you’re first to know why.
What You’ll Do:
-
Underwrite Strategic Bets → Create comprehensive opportunity assessments for organic growth strategies that feed into TTG’s strategic roadmap, and coordinate business unit resources to execute these projects across the portfolio.
-
M&A Execution → Support the internal review of investment opportunities, including financial due diligence and forecasting, assessment of risks and opportunities, identification of integration and synergy realization strategies, and preparation of Investment Committee materials.
-
Commercial Partnerships & Investments → Underwrite and help negotiate strategic commercial partnerships and investments in live productions and experiences, including deals that secure exclusive ticketing for TTG. You’ll build the commercial model, pressure-test attendance and revenue forecasts, shape deal terms, and own the recommendation through to close.
-
Deal Sourcing → Maintain market maps and target pipelines across our core and adjacent verticals, and build relationships with bankers, founders and investors to support origination.
-
Board Materials → Prepare presentations on company performance, growth initiatives and prospective investments for meetings with the MARI Board of Directors.
We’re Looking for Someone With:
-
Top-Tier Foundation → You have 3–5 years of experience, ideally at a leading investment bank, strategy consulting firm, or corporate development team, where you have demonstrated success delivering rigorous analysis and "zero-defect" work products.
-
Commercial Judgment → You understand how businesses actually make money: unit economics, marketplace dynamics and competitive positioning. You form a point of view on where to play and how to win.
-
Strategic Synthesis → You don't just "run the numbers"; you can turn divergent data sources into a high-conviction narrative that identifies the "so what" for our business and the wider industry.
-
Advanced Financial Modeling → You quickly and accurately build complex, dynamic financial models that serve as the foundation for capital allocation decisions.
-
Transaction Experience → You’ve worked on live deals, asking the hard questions in diligence, quantifying risks and synergies, and reading term sheets, LOIs and commercial contracts to assess the provisions that move value or shift risk.
-
Applied AI Fluency → You use AI tools to accelerate the time-intensive parts of the job, and you bring the judgment that makes the output great. You know what an A+ work product looks like, and you push the tools until you get there. The result is work better than either you or the tools could produce alone.
-
Executive Presence → You are a confident communicator who holds their ground with senior leaders, takes a position, and changes minds with evidence.
