From the employer
Your impact begins here
As Senior Project Cost Controller, you will own cost control on some of the largest capital projects in Novo's API organisation. You will give project management the clear forecasts, reporting and budget insight they need to make decisions at pace, while setting professional direction for colleagues in cost control. Your work helps keep major manufacturing investments on scope, time, quality and budget, so the capacity to supply treatment to the people who need it is built on solid financial ground.
What you’ll bring
You combine hands-on cost control expertise with the ability to raise the standard of the people around you. You will bring:
- 5+ years of experience in a similar project cost control role.
- Demonstrated experience in cost control on large capex projects.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, and the ability to guide colleagues and set professional direction.
- A structured approach that lets you keep the broad overview without losing attention to detail.
- The ability to translate complex financial issues into clear messages for senior stakeholders.
- Fluency in English.
Useful, but not essential:
- Experience from a GMP-regulated industry.
- Experience working across different teams and departments.
- Danish language skills.
What you’ll do
You will be accountable for financial control on large capex projects from planning through execution, and help shape how cost control is done across the department.
- Manage overall project cost control, planning, organising and controlling resources and processes so projects deliver within scope, time, quality and budget.
- Act as a sparring partner to project management on cost forecasting, progress reporting and budget management, with direct reference to the Project Controls Manager.
- Analyse designs, methods and internal manufacturing processes with project teams to make sure cost, delivery and quality targets are met.
- Guide colleagues within cost control and set professional direction for the discipline.
- Develop and manage new and existing projects by recommending, monitoring and adjusting operating procedures.
- Implement process improvements and changes to project controlling methods, so the team learns and raises the bar on every project.
Who you’ll work with
You will join Project Controls & Governance (PC&G), which supports the largest capital projects across the API organisation within Global Manufacturing & Supply. PC&G is a department of around 50 people across six teams, with a culture that is open, engaged, curious and inclusive, and a shared focus on continuous learning and improvement.
You will work closely with the Project Controls Manager and project management, and with skilled colleagues across teams and departments to govern the financial side of each project. In Global Manufacturing & Supply, colleagues work across the value chain from drug and device development to marketed Novo products, scaling molecules, processes, devices and products for the people who need them. Your role is to bring financial clarity early, speak up when numbers signal a risk and help projects move forward with confidence.
What you can expect here
You will be trusted with ownership of cost control on complex, high-value projects and given room to shape methods and ways of working in your discipline. You will grow alongside experienced colleagues on the job, sharpen your leadership by guiding others and make your voice heard with senior stakeholders. The work moves at pace, and clear expectations help you deliver your best and be recognised for it.
