What you'll do
- Process supplier invoices, check their ministry and budget coding, and guide each bill through AvidXchange to payment
- Resolve vendor billing differences and payment questions, while keeping ministry contacts informed about payment timing
- Reconcile the payables ledger each month and prepare W-9 records and 1099 forms for compliance
- Track staff expense claims against policy and support the credit card program administrator
- Provide accurate payables reports for month- and year-end close with the Finance team
What you bring
- An accounting or finance degree and at least two years of directly relevant experience
- Active involvement in a church, including community participation, service, generosity, and inviting others

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process vendor invoices with accuracy and speed, review coding for the correct ministry area and budget line
- Manage the invoice processing platform, AvidXchange - from updating the system, to invoice receipt, to approval routing, to disbursement
- Maintain vendor relationships, resolving discrepancies and answering payment questions with clarity and care
- Reconcile the accounts payable ledger monthly to ensure our books stay clean and current
- Own W-9 collection and 1099 preparation to keep us compliant year-round
- Collaborate with the Credit Card Program Administrator to provide support.
- Track and manage employee expense reimbursements against policy
- Partner with ministry leaders across campuses to keep their vendors paid on time
- Support the month-end and year-end close by delivering timely, accurate AP reports to the Finance team
MUST-HAVES
- Active participation in a church (we look for a lifestyle of inviting people to church, volunteering, generosity, and prioritizing community)
- Degree in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years of directly related experience
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- High level of organization and ability to manage multiple invoices and deadlines at once
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor and internal partner interactions
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience working in a non-profit environment or ministry setting
- Experience with accounting platforms (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
DAY-TO-DAY
- We’re a Sunday-Thursday work environment. Monday-Thursday, we’re in the office (8:30AM - 5PM); on Sunday, we’re supporting the weekend worship experience either directly in our roles or by choosing a weekly serving opportunity at one of our Elevation Church campuses.
- There’s a lot to accomplish each week, so we’re pretty fast-paced. We’re also not afraid to pivot a strategy or project quickly to meet the needs of the weekend - adaptability is a key competence for us.
