WHAT'S THE ROLE?

Turn financial data into better business decisions!

We're looking for a Business Finance Analyst, to partner with our Food Service & Hospitality Operations to analyze performance, uncover cost and revenue drivers, and provide the financial insight leaders need to make informed decisions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Business Finance Analyst (BFA), you’ll support the financial performance of individual contracts through reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and month-end activities. Working closely with Business Finance and Operations, you’ll dig into the numbers behind the business, identify key drivers and trends, and help ensure leaders have accurate, meaningful information to guide decisions.

This role also supports new business opportunities, joint venture reporting, financial controls, and cross-functional finance activities, giving you exposure to both day-to-day operations and broader business priorities.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements by contract and compare results against forecasts and budgets.
  • Analyze financial results, identifying key variances, trends, cost drivers, and areas requiring attention.
  • Partner with Business Finance and Operations to analyze key performance indicators, revenue trends, and contract performance.
  • Develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for individual contracts.
  • Prepare month-end financial reporting packages for joint ventures.
  • Support month-end close activities, including accruals, cost allocations, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Develop financial proformas for new business opportunities.
  • Review accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation for accuracy and appropriate coding.
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements and respond to audit documentation requests.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Billing, Credit & Collections, Contract Administration, and other teams to resolve financial and operational issues.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You’re comfortable getting into the details, but you also understand that the numbers need to tell a story. You can work independently, build productive relationships with operational teams, and translate financial information into practical insights that support the business.

  • A Great Attitude!
  • Post secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • Finance / Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) or actively working toward it.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, analysis, or a related finance role.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI experience is an asset.
  • Experience working with ERP systems, with NetSuite or OneStream considered an asset.
  • Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to see both the detail and the broader business picture.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Be part of an industry that's more important than ever!
  • Award winning safety culture.
  • Supportive team environment with room to grow together.
  • Onsite Hybrid work model.
  • Employee Referral Program.
  • We are growing!
  • Certified as a Great Place to Work 2025-2026!
