What you'll do
- Process assigned supplier invoices through to payment release, following the required steps
- Respond to internal and external queries and keep supplier account details current
- Help with account closing, one-off requests and improvements to invoice processing
- Apply agreed procedures and meet the service and quality measures for accounts payable work
What you bring
- You have a high school qualification or equivalent experience, preferably in accounting or business
- You understand basic finance and accounting processes from start to finish
- You can work independently under pressure and communicate in business-proficient English and German

We are hiring for this position for a limited period of 1 year.
The Junior Accountant for Accounts Payable ensures timely, accurate and compliant service delivery for all Accounts Payable transactions assigned to his role.
What We Offer
Supports the day to day Accounts Payable operations for the following process areas:
Process invoices until the release of payment
Handle internal and external communication
Support vendor account maintenance and closing activities
Assists and support ad-hoc requests
Ensures the understanding and compliant service delivery across Covestro of agreed policies and procedures.
Understands service level agreements and key performance indicators for Accounts Payable related processes.
Achieves performance and quality standards as defined in relevant service level agreements.
Assists the implementation of initiatives for improving the efficiency and/or effectiveness of the Accounts Payable transaction processing.
The minimum base salary is 1530 EUR and can be higher depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
What You Offer
High school degree or equivalent experience, preferable in accounting or business
Basic knowledge of Finance and Accounting end-to-end processes.
Self-disciplined with ability to work independently and under stress and pressure.
Ability to adapt to new culture and people.
Strong service orientation: strong commitment to customer orientation and understanding of customer needs.
Good communication skills
Business proficient English and German
