What You Will Do:
- Plan and perform vendor contract financial reviews: verify rates, billing periods, quantities, taxes, discounts, holdbacks / retainage and contract line items against Master Contracts, Change Orders and Purchase Orders.
- Perform complex reviews with minimal supervision.
- Analyze and provide recommendations regarding Financial Controls financial review processes.
- Ability to work across all areas of AEP and with external vendors collaboratively.
- Provide regular report outs to management and team to better understand processes.
- Assist in back up duties for various areas of Financial Controls such as, but not limited to, SOX reporting and UVL processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings and revenue enhancement.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred majors include accounting, finance, economics, business administration or engineering.
Experience:
- Four (4) or more years of work experience in the disciplines mentioned in the education requirement.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft, Maximo and COGNOS;
- Familiarity with contract language and Procurement policies a must;
- Exposure to CAA, PowerBI, SQL, and Workiva a plus;
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and comfortably with all levels of the organization; Strategic Thinking; Relationship building; Teamwork; Adaptability/Flexibility; Customer Focus; Planning/Organizing Skills.
